I lead software architecture and drive innovation at the intersection of engineering leadership and emerging AI technology. Based in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
From writing code to directing architecture strategy — my career has been one long arc of building things, leading people, and staying curious about what's next.
I'm the Director of Software Architecture & Innovation at DMA (DuCharme, McMillen & Associates). My job is equal parts strategy and exploration — setting the technical direction for the organization while digging into how AI is fundamentally changing what's possible in software development.
Before that, I was Manager of Web Solution Engineering & Operations at Universal Studios in Orlando. Leading a team at one of the world's biggest entertainment companies taught me what it means to ship at scale — millions of guests, zero room for downtime, and constant pressure to innovate.
With a B.S. in Computer Science and an MBA, I bring both deep technical chops and business perspective to every decision. Outside of work, I'm perpetually tinkering. Health trackers, mobile apps, serverless backends, image tagging tools — I've built a lot of random stuff over the years. These days, AI agents do most of the coding on my side projects while I focus on the architecture and the problems worth solving. The tools changed. The itch to build didn't.
From theme parks to enterprise architecture — building teams and systems that deliver at scale.
Setting the architecture vision across the organization and leading innovation initiatives. Driving the adoption of AI-powered development workflows, modern cloud-native patterns, and scalable system design that connects directly to business outcomes.
Led the web engineering and operations team for one of the world's most visited entertainment destinations. Built and ran systems where uptime and performance directly impacted the experience of millions of guests — and where "move fast" and "don't break things" had to coexist.
Perpetually shipping side projects — health trackers, chore managers, image taggers, Android apps, serverless experiments. Now using AI agents as force multipliers to explore new tech faster than ever. The garage never closes.
A broad and evolving toolkit — from AI and cloud infrastructure to team leadership and product strategy.
Leadership and service beyond the office — investing in the next generation and the local community.
